Mei Zhongya is an associate professor with a Ph.D. in Management Science (majoring in Management Science and Engineering). He currently serves as a full-time faculty member, Party branch secretary, and department head in the Department of Engineering Management at the School of Management Science and Engineering, Chongqing Technology and Business University. He has been a visiting scholar at Curtin University in Australia and holds positions as an expert in the Evaluation and Monitoring Panel for National Graduate Education by the Ministry of Education, a review expert for the National Undergraduate Thesis (Design Inspection, a member of the BIM Professional Committee of the China Graphics Society, a member of the Technical Program Committee for the MAEM International Conference, and a reviewer for SCI & SSCI journals.
He has published one academic monograph and over 20 high-level academic papers, including seven papers in Top journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1 and one WOS highly cited paper. His doctoral dissertation was honored as an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in Chongqing. He has presided over one project funded by the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program of the Ministry of Education, one Chongqing Municipal Education Science Planning Project, and one high-level talent research initiation project. Additionally, he has been a principal researcher in two General Projects and two Young Scientists Projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project funded by the National Social Science Foundation of China, two projects funded by the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program of the Ministry of Education, as well as numerous other provincial and ministerial-level projects and horizontally commissioned projects.
Over the past three years of teaching, he has taught undergraduate courses such as "Engineering Project Management," "BIM Principles and Modeling Techniques," "Building Installation Engineering," "Modern Property Management and Operations," and "Installation Engineering Cost," as well as graduate courses including "BIM and Engineering Project Management," "Information Systems and Project Management," and "Engineering Economics." He has been a principal researcher in four municipal and university-level key and general educational reform projects. He has guided undergraduate students to win over 40 national and provincial-level awards in academic competitions, received more than 10 national and provincial-level awards for outstanding competition mentors, and directed undergraduate students in completing one national and one provincial-level undergraduate innovation and entrepreneurship training program project each. He has also guided undergraduate students to receive two Chongqing Outstanding Graduate Design awards and six university-level Outstanding Graduate Design awards, and led an undergraduate student club to win the President's Honor Award at Chongqing Technology and Business University.
He actively participates in teaching competitions, winning the Excellence Award in the Chongqing Municipal Young College Teachers' Teaching Competition, the First Prize and Second Prize each once in the Chongqing Technology and Business University Teacher Teaching Skills Competition, and the Second Prize in the Chongqing Technology and Business University Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition. He has been honored with titles such as Outstanding Teacher, Teaching Star, and Outstanding Individual in Caring for the Next Generation at Chongqing Technology and Business University, adhering to the original mission of nurturing talent for the Party and the country.
